ONLINE REAL-TIME MOVIE-MAKING JOURNAL

It's a miracle to have gotten this far. I remember, back in 1990, discovering Hildegard von Bingen for the first time. Falling in love, in ecstasy, hearing O quam mirabilis est by Sequentia- I had to hold onto the furniture, to keep from being taken up! Then, in 1996, telling my mother that I was going to make a motion picture about her.

MOM

Isn't there a movie already about her?

ME

No, Mom, not that kind of movie. I mean big, like Hollywood...

I visited my family in Italy, went to the Greek Islands, the Rhine River, up to Holland and England, I quit my Master's Degree program at UW-Milwaukee- because of a passion, a mission, it seemed, to make this movie. I visited Los Angeles a few times, attended my first American Film Market, the Disneyland of motion picture buying and selling. I learned to format screenplays on a Word program. I'm so happy I had no idea what I was getting myself into! By October 1998, I knew I had to move to Hollywood.

MORE TO COME...
